Frozen Faces :)

Hi there,

I hear there is a lot of snow on the east coast of the US. I hope everyone is well. This much snow kind of puts Holland to a standstill. Traffic stops driving, planes and trains are delayed, mail and e-mail are even slowed down a little...although you have to see our mail men and women....battleing through snow and ice and slippery roads. Our mail man always smiles and says hello.....no matter the weather.

So this word art is kind of an ode to our mail persons LOL and who ever else you can think of. I suppose writing this i think Linda is a mail person ....so an ode to Linda too !!

Merry Christmas

I want to wish everyone out there a very merry Christmas !! Thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday whether it was on facebook, by email, text or telephone :)

I made a little word art for you, which i am sure you will be able to use with all the photo's you took yesterday....here are a few i took :) We had christmas dinner with Marcels family. His brother (and wife and daughter) were there and of course Marcels parents. It was a quiet day but nice.

I really missed my loved ones this year i don't know why. We have a show in Holland called 'All You Need Is Love' they bring loved ones together from around the world to be together at Christmas. I cried all the way through :(

Toys

He hunnies :)

Well its like 17 days to Christmas :) All i can remember about Christmas when i was little was the toys. Here in Holland 'kids don't get toys at Christmas, they got them from Sinterklaas. I can't remember much from Christmasses in Scotland except snow and a pram and a typewriter and decorations (not just a tree).... I dont know whether they are from the same Christmas or not hahahaha

In Holland Christmas is more about family and the cosyness you create in your home with lights and candles.....Christmas dinners (yes Christmas and Boxing Day) are always with family. To bad most of mine is out of reach LOL. Marcel has a meeting this evening so i promissed Yvano we would put up our Christmas tree. I will make some pictures and post them tomorrow.

We got little quote books from St. Nick with quotes about mums and dads :) I love quotes LOL. Todays freebie is from the dad book....have fun with that !! Leave me some love.

Let It Snow

I love Christmas and Snow and Jollyness :) I hate it though when snow interferes with traffic....people drive slower, sometimes too slow....sometimes not. It took me 3 and a half hours to get home last week. Normally it takes me 45 minutes. I had to ask a friend to pick up Yvano from after school club....you have to pick them up before seven....i got home at half past eight :(

So anyway now St. Nick has left i will be putting up my christmas tree tomorrow. Probably late afternoon, hubby has a dinner meeting and its just Yvano and me :)

Yvano got a playmobil adventcalender from st. Nick.....he is really curious to whats in tomorrows :) I wonder who het got that from hahahahaha, yes me :):)

Its Marcels birthday today ! Happy birthday hunnie:) Not like he'd read this LOL

St.Nick

He there hunnies:)

Today its december 5th, thats St. Nikolaas in Holland and Belgium. It pakjesavond :) that translates as pressienight...its the evening when St. Nikolaas bangs on the front door (wink) and leaves somes pressies behind for the kids who live there.... Yvano is really excited LOL

We woke up early this morning to find our attick room leaking....its probably snow that has blown under the seal however, it better stop darned quick before the plaster falls off :( I need to take photos too to send to the company that put the extention on.....

I havent blogged in a while....i kind of got side tracked by life (and farmville) both kind of addictive lol. Yvano is now on his meds for ADHD and he is doing great. On the 10th of January he has another appointment with the doctor to find out how much PDD-NOS he has. Marcel's kidney stone has calmed down for the time being but its not over till its out :( And his shoulder...well we went to see the shoulder specialist. The small surgery (with little holes) isnt going to work, there is just too much damage. The big surgery is really BIG and could put him out of running for months...they want to take a piece of bone from his collar bone and screw that in front of his arm so it will not dislocate any more. He has to go back to the doctor on Valentines day. For now its Physiotherapy.

So as you can read from the above...there isnt much time left for blogging. So i kind of need to get back in the habit....what better way to do that than give you another freebie. Its kind of snowing all over one half of the planet. The other half will have to keep it for another six months.
